Dr. Randy De Witt has been photographing the flora, fauna, and people of Florida for much of his life. As a multimedia artist, educator, author, and photographer, he strives to showcase the epic and intimate beauty of his adopted home as uniquely seen from its water, air, beaches, and back roads.

 

In 1987, Randy moved to Miami to teach in the public school system from Louisville, Kentucky. He speaks affectionately of being drawn to the Magic City by epic tropical scenes from the Miami Vice television show and visions of short-sleeved winter tourists, the glistening ocean, multicultural residents, and nature in the tropics. Over the years, Randy has led innovative higher education programs and written curriculum for Miami Dade College, DeVry University, American Intercontinental University, Barry University, and Parque Cibernetico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic.
